  • You are having suicidal thoughts, homicidal thoughts, or thoughts of self-harming but have no intention of acting on them. **This is different than being actively suicidal and in a psychiatric emergency, which warrants a call to the Rutland Mental Health Crisis Team for evaluation for hospitalization, which is the first call you should make if you are actively planning to commit suicide. Call me after you speak with them, not before!**
  • You just experienced a traumatic event, need a few minutes to talk to me about it, and to see if an appointment is available for some time in the next few days.
  • You just left the Emergency Room or Urgent Care after having a medication reaction to a medication I prescribe you.
  • You are calling on behalf of one of my patients because they are headed to the Emergency Room for a Psychiatric crisis or they just got hospitalized. (Note: unless there is a release to speak with the person calling, I will never confirm a patient's status or discuss their care, but the person calling may relay any pertinent information)
